About UsYou've seen their work featured on Button Poetry, SlamFind, All Def Poetry, CNN, the BBC, and NPR among other esteemed media outlets!
Forget everything you think you know about slam poetry, religious musings & sermons - this group takes the stage with diverse lyric monologues that have a simple goal, to share their lived experiences and promote unity-in-diversity. The Interfaith Poets are an ever-evolving collective of artists hailing from all over the US and UK and of various spiritual backgrounds. They are a rotating group of performers that explore their spiritual identities through spoken word. This collective is comprised of professionals who engage in work beyond poetry; youth workers, a pro bono foreclosure lawyer, a public health researcher, educators, an international accountant, photographers, violence prevention activists, trauma advocates, health and science researchers, a bereavement counselor, a Christian pastor, a Jewish rapper, a Baha'i musician, a Hindu rhyme-slayer, a Catholic-Tibetan-Buddhist new-media installation artist, and so much more! . |
